Meet Darcy
βThe quieter you become, the more you can listen.β
Darcy is a RYT-200 hour yoga teacher and CEU meditation teacher registered with Yoga Alliance residing just outside of Philadelphia. She fell in love with yoga immediately after she began practicing over ten years ago. She found that yoga and meditation not only taught her an incredible amount about her mind and body, but it was and still continues to be an extremely helpful tool in helping her face stress and anxiety.
After years of deepening her practice from a wide variety of yoga teachers and retreats, she decided it was time to take it to the next level and share the light and love of yoga with others. She completed her RYT-200 hour Svadhyaya Yoga Teacher Training certification at Purenergy Studio in 2017 with Kate Goodyear and Allison Sobel. Shortly thereafter, Darcy also completed her CEU-18 hour Meditation Teacher Training certification with Allison Sobel.
She now teaches vinyasa style classes at various studios in the surrounding Philadelphia area. Her classes aim to take students passed the physical asanas and into a deeper, more mindful experience on the mat where self reflection is provoked. Having spent years working in fast paced corporate America, Darcy knows firsthand how powerful the tools of yoga and meditation can be for stress management and she aims to share these gifts with her students, helping them to find their lights so that they may share with the world.
In addition to teaching vinyasa classes, Darcy has led various Yoga Teacher Training workshops, meant to inspire and educate teachers and healers how to facilitate experiences of mindfulness and theme classes thoughtfully for students. She also leads yoga, meditation and healthy lifestyle retreats both locally within the surrounding Philadelphia area, as well as international, that gives participants a chance to re-connect and embrace life more fully.
Aside from yoga, she also enjoys cycling with her husband, cooking plant based recipes and is a passionate voice for the animal community. She has a dog named Loomis and three happy bunnies that were rescued through Luv N Bunns and Darcy is an active supporter and volunteer for this organization, helping to find homes for abandoned buns.
